Ask us something elseFresh plaster needs to dry out before paint goes on — usually a few days for a skim, longer in winter or on thicker work. We will tell you the honest timescale for your room before we start, not after.
Almost never. Most people stay put. We sheet floors and furniture, work room by room, and keep the mess where it belongs. External render work does not affect the inside of the house at all.
Sometimes, but only once the cause is dealt with. Plastering over damp hides it for a season and then it comes back. On older solid walls the answer is often breathable lime rather than cement. We will tell you which one you are looking at.
Usually yes — either skimmed directly once it is prepared and sealed, or overboarded where the pattern is heavy. Both give you a flat ceiling. We will price whichever suits the ceiling you have.
Anything above ground floor needs it. We arrange it and it is listed in your quote, so the number you see is the number you pay — no separate bill landing halfway through.
It depends on the time of year and the size of the job. Ring and ask — we will give you a real date rather than a maybe, and we will say so if we are booked up.
